Taxiway Construction
Parallel taxiway opening soon at NGFF: B&J Construction is doing a excellent job on our new taxiway. Since receiving the Notice to Proceed on June 13th and staring to work on June 21st, B & J has worked diligently to produce a high quality parallel taxiway. This taxiway will prove to be an asset for New Garden Airport and impove safety for all users. Currently with the past few days of wet weather, construction is on hold for a day or two to allow the ground to dry. B&J said they have another day or two of earth work before they bring in stone and start paving the additional section of taxiway. I look forward to the completion and the opening of the new taxiway for us all to use.
12 year Airport Plan
It's that time of year: Every year Pennsylvania Federally Funded Airports meet with the Bureau of Aviation to discuss
individual airport's 12 year project plan and align these projects with any available funding. New Garden is
scheduled for the middle of October to meet at the Reading Regional Airport. Currently our 5 year plan is as follows;
2012- Acquire easement for runway reconstruction project
2012- Runway Phase I (design)
2012- Develop multi-municipal zoning ordinance
2012/2013- Runway Phase II (site prep)
2013- Runway Phase III (construction)
2012/2013- Rehab west T-hangar apron
2013/2014- Install GVGI and REILS Rnwy 6/24
2015/2016 - Construct AWOS

Future Aviator’s Summer Camp 2012. Reserve your child’s spot. Registration is now open. Due to the success of the camp and overall interest we have decided to add a second week for 2012. Each week will be different and campers have the option to attend one or both weeks.
