Position of Director of Public Works
New Garden Township is accepting applications for the position of Director of Public Works due to the pending retirement of the current Director. The Director is responsible for managerial aspects of the operation,budget, contract administration, equipment, facilities and personnel of the road department (4 personnel), sewer department (3 personnel), park department (2 personnel) and 56 acres of park land and facilities. The Director must have a thorough working knowledge and supervisory experience related to all f the listed functional areas. The Director reports to the Township Manager. the population of the Township s approximately 12,000 people, the budget is approximately $16,000,000 and there are approximately 60 miles of roads, numerous building and other faculties owned by the Township.
